Volunteers  For Teens  For Rutgers Students Employment

Volunteers help the museum fulfill its mission to serve both university and community audiences. Volunteer activities range from those demanding dedicated commitment and pretraining, to others requiring only enthusiasm and a desire to help the Zimmerli provide enjoyable and meaningful experiences for its audiences. Volunteer activities include guiding tours as trained docents and providing administrative support.

ZAMbassadors for Teens

This program invites especially motivated high school students (grades 10–12) to become junior volunteers, assisting the museum’s Education Office with two of its central programs: Rutgers Day and Summer Art Camp. Whether helping a family with an art project at the Zimmerli during the campus-wide celebration of Rutgers Day or providing aid to Summer Art Camp instructors, ZAMbassadors are an invaluable part of the museum team. ZAMbassadors are trained by the museum staff, learning about art and museum work from seasoned professionals.

To get involved, email the Education Office.
