Are you coordinating a business reception, holiday party, conference, or surprise party?
If so, consider the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers as the venue for your next special event!

The Zimmerli has an international reputation and is one of the largest university art museums in the country, presenting your guests with a rich sense of art and cultural history. The galleries and gathering spaces in the museum provide a distinguished atmosphere for numerous occasions.

Zimmerli Student Advisory Board

The Zimmerli Student Advisory Board (ZSAB) serves as the student voice of and for the museum. It acts as a bridge between the student body at Rutgers and the Zimmerli. The members of ZSAB have spearheaded the Zimmerli’s signature Art After Hours program and launched the Masquerade Ball, an event now in its third season which sells out each year. In its successful efforts to engage Rutgers students in the activities of the museum, ZSAB members gain valuable skills in leadership and teamwork as well as strategic planning and decision making.

Board of Overseers

An elected body, the Zimmerli’s Board of Overseers provides counsel and support for the museum’s mission to serve both the campus and community audiences. The board is composed of no more than 30 alumni and dedicated citizens, including four ex-officio members: the Rutgers executive vice president of academic affairs, the president of the Rutgers University Foundation, the museum director, and the chair of the Student Advisory Board.

About the Museum

The Zimmerli Art Museum is one of the largest and most distinguished university-based museums in the country. It collects, preserves, researches, and exhibits world-class works of art to provide the university community and diverse regional, national, international audiences with direct experience of the visual arts.
